A little about me...
My name is Melisa and I live in Oxford.
I come from a family of photographers; as a small girl, I spent long afternoons going through my grandfather’s collections of prints and slides. I was fascinated by the fact that a fleeting moment in time could be captured for ever. I also understood that the resulting image depended on both the technical skills of the photographer and their powers of observation.
I have turned my obsession and love of the medium into my profession. Every day I re-imagine the way I perceive and interact with the world around me and try to learn new ways of capturing what I see.
In my spare-time I like nothing more than to take pictures for myself, which I enter into competitions, exhibit and take to craft fairs.
Photography for me, is both an art form and a way of documenting life.
